I have wondered why the Lord loves the number twelve. God establishes twelve tribes of Israel. Jesus selects twelve apostles. It is the number of months we have in a year and the number of hours on a clock. If you went on a search in the Bible, the number twelve is very important. For those of us waiting for our outcomes to change or waiting for our miracles to arrive, those times can feel like our darkest hour. God seems to stand far off and wait until the very last second to allow us to get to a place where we need Him the most.
Matthew 25:6 says, “In the middle of the night someone cried out, “he’s here, the bridegroom is here! Go out and greet him!”
It may feel like this season has been your darkest hour. Be encouraged that Jesus shows up exactly when He is needed. I call it the “Must Hour.” The hour that He must show up to get what He wants accomplished in us. Midnight. A dark hour. Yet, the very first hour of a day. The dawn of a new morning. Yes, still dark, still hours before the sun will rise. But this is His choosing. He isn’t trying to wait until it’s so dark you cannot stand it. He is telling you He is a first dawn God. God will not wait for sunrise…He will come early…at midnight! “In the middle of the night someone cried out, “he’s here, the bridegroom is here! Go out and greet him!”
God’s timing is perfect. Trust the “Must Hour” and believe that God wants to use you and bless you, in His timing.
