Receive Your Blessing
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26, NIV
For a moment, think about what it means to be blessed. Consider what it means to be kept.
In Hebrew, that word bless doesn’t represent a mere kind word from a friend. It’s an “abundant, altogether” blessing. And the word kept is equally profound, representing a “circumspect guarding,” a watchful keeping by our Heavenly Father.
The scripture goes on, calling for the illuminating light of God that has the power to shine in the darkest places to be upon us, releasing kindness, mercy, and favor. It proclaims that the face of God would turn toward us and give us peace – complete and total welfare for our every need.
My friend, those words are the blessing of God for you, your children, and your children’s children. It’s not a blessing you have to work for or earn. It’s a blessing you are invited to receive.
The blessing is for your coming and your going, in the morning and the evening, in your weeping and rejoicing.
Before you, behind you, all around you and within you, your loving Heavenly Father wants you to know that He is with you. He is for you. And He will never leave you or forsake you.
Will you receive His blessing for you today?
