"Folk! is the sound of best friends living life and working out their faith together. Folk music is just that: music crafted with real people in mind. More than maybe any other recording, I think FOLK! is us being us. This project sounds like what it feels like when we hang out together on rainy Sunday afternoons and holiday weekends: Someone’s plucking a weird instrument on the porch, someone’s giggling with the kiddos in the paddling pool and someone else is having a heart to heart in the kitchen (and stress eating the roast potatoes). It’s human and beautiful.
In other words no one’s trying to be a rockstar anymore - that’s the best thing about being in a band for 15 years. You quit all the posturing. We’re just trying to connect. With God. Ourselves. Each other."
