“Pastors have a prophetic ear for songs. As we were preparing for our 25 Year Celebration Conference, Pastor Banning brought “None Like You” to the team. One of our team members had led the song at our weekly prayer night, and he asked if we could include it in our conference set. We knew the song from the original versions, from our friends at Legacy Church in Nashville, and worship leader and writer Todd Mendez. I don’t think we knew all that God would do with the song in our worship time that weekend. As we gathered that Friday in September, God moved powerfully in our midst. We weren’t thinking that it might be a song for the new album, but after seeing what happened that night in the room, we knew we had to include it. The Jesus focused theme of the song resonated with us and was very much aligned with the other songs we had written. Jesus Culture has a long history of finding songs that are bubbling up in the local church (How He Loves, Break Every Chain, Spirit Break Out) and sharing it with the world. We believe that “None Like You” is one of those songs. Recently, we’ve heard reports of how the song is impacting churches in Brazil.
